Introduction
Have you ever marvelled at the power of a well-executed renovation? It can breathe new life into tired spaces, turning them from dull and outdated to fresh, vibrant, and incredibly functional.
In this article, we will showcase a curated selection of our most impactful before and after home renovations. From drab to fab, witness the astonishing results that await when creativity meets craftsmanship, right here in South Yorkshire.
Project 1 - Before and after kitchen remodel with green cabinets
This unusual project is a true labour of love. The home owners had lovingly extended their home to accomodate their fur-babies and more.
The challenge, however, was that lovely curved wall on one end of the space.
We installed gorgeous warm subway tiles in a vertical arrangement to seamless follow the natural curve of the wall. The results, as you can see, are stunning.
From dark and drab to bright and colourful
Lighting solutions that just work
Getting the lighting right was a priority. To maximise efficiency, we installed these lovely minimalist spotlights.
They are slick, functional and low maintenance.
What’s more, they keep all eyes focused on that gorgeous bespoke cabinetry!
Maximising vertical space
Since space was a premium, we maximised storage for our clients by utilising every inch of the wall.
The bespoke cabinetry was designed, built and installed to the precise height of the kitchen.
Not only does it give our clients loads of storage space, it also does away with the need to dust above the cabinets. Win-win!
No more awkward entryways
The entryway to the kitchen was right in the middle of the wall. Previously, the space right next to the door was woefully under-utilised.
Our solution: a bespoke floor—to-ceiling pull-out pantry!
Made out of the same beautiful painted plywood, the pantry now gives our clients all the storage they need and more. It has also completely eliminated that awkward space that lingered right at the door.
Maximising views
To maximise the impact of the gorgeous views surrounding the property, we we installed the sink right under the picture window, keeping the surrounding lines clean and minimal.
This is all thanks to the careful and sensitive design plan carried out by our expert designers.
Now our clients can look out on the beautiful scenery while doing the washing-up.
Project 2 - Before and after home renovation with an elegant study
This beautiful home in Retford, South Yorkshire was full of character and original features. Our clients wanted to preserve the personality of their home as much as possible while giving it a functional and aesthetic makeover.
Here are some before and after images of the bespoke design elements that we brought to life for our clients.
Sensitive design for an elegant home study
This room had a gorgeous fireplace but awkward alcoves. The warm ceiling beams offered oodles of character, but the lacklustre interior left much to be desired.
We solved this by building in loads of bespoke storage, working delicately around the charming beams, preserving their character and integrity.
The vivid blue finish along with built-in LEDs illuminate the space beautifully while adding a pop of colour to an otherwise fairly traditional space.
For the awkward alcoves, we designed and built a fully bespoke bar with a gorgeous reflective finish to create a focal point that is not only sophisticated but incredibly welcoming too.
Project 3 - A quirky kitchen renovation
It’s always a fun challenge when we are asked to do a home renovation with quirky and unusual features.
For this project, our clients had a tiny space and they wanted loads of storage. They also wanted to infuse their home with their love for bright colours and vivid patterns.
Maximising storage in a tiny space
To give our clients lots of storage, we utilised every inch of the vertical space by building cabinetry that goes all the way up to the ceiling.
And to keep the kitchen from feeling boxed-in, we broke up the lines by incorporating a mixture of open and closed storage.
Bringing in colour and pattern
Our clients love bright colours and patterns. So we installed these gorgeous patterned tiles as splashbacks.
And we used accents colours on the walls and cabinetry to seamlessly tie the space together.
Brightening up a small space
When space is at a premium, it is important to keep things bright and well-illuminated.
To do this, we incorporated sleek under-cupboard LED ligths that are not only functional but incredibly beautiful too.
